Pilgrim Congregational Church is a member of the United Church of Christ (UCC), the oldest and largest Protestant denomination in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Members of the congregation represent a variety of religious backgrounds, as well as agnostics. The church is also an "Open and Affirming" church, the UCC designation for congregations that make public statements of welcome into their full life and ministry to persons of all sexual orientations, gender identities and gender expressions.
