Children Can Learn Three Fun Technologies in Afternoon Program
An afternoon activity to get out of the cold.
Looking for something for the kids to do on a cold afternoon?
Empow Studios is holding a program featuring three technologies at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday for students in grades 1-2.
"Get out the webcams, Legos and laptops and try your hand at three amazing technologies," the event post states. "We start with stop motion, teaching kids the art of animating physical objects in magical ways. Then we translate those stop motion skills to the computer as students learn the basics of digital animation. We wrap up with exploration into the world of simple machines in Lego Engineering, with students building working models of mechanical devices. All animations and pictures will be available for students to have at home and watch with family and friends.LEGO models will not be taken home."
