Deadline to Register to Vote in Special State Election is Today

Register to vote by 8 p.m. tonight to cast a ballot in the Special State Election.

If you aren't registered to vote in Lexington you have until this evening to get registered if you want to vote in December's Special State Election to fill Edward Markey's old 5th District seat. 

The Board of Registrars reminds all resident citizens 18 years of age or older to register to vote in the special state election by 8 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 20. Voter registration forms are available at the Town Clerk's office or online.

Residents already registered to vote in Lexington need not register again for any election.

The special state election to fill now Sen. Edward Markey's 5th District seat will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 10. 

In the special state primary on October 15, Democratic voters chose Katherine Clark as the party's candidates and Republicans chose Frank Addivinola to run for the GOP.
