Heat Advisory with a Heat Index Near 100 Degrees

Five things to know today.

Today is Wednesday, September 11. Here are five things to know: 

1) Hot day today 

Looks like summer is making a final push. According to the National Weather Service we can expect sunny skies with a high near 93 degrees today with heat index values as high as 100. The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. today. Partly cloudy tonight with a low around 72. 

2) Public meetings 

The Community Preservation Committee is meeting at 3 p.m. in the Town Office Building, Parker Room (G-15). The Lexington Housing Authority is meeting at 6 p.m. in the Lexington Housing Authority. The Energy Conservation Committee is meeting at 6 p.m. in the S. Hadley Public Services Building, Room 221 and the Design Advisory Committee is meeting at 7:30 p.m. in the Cary Memorial Building, Ellen Stone Room.

The Cary Memorial Library is holding a meeting of the Cary Memorial Library Foundation at 7:30 p.m. this evening.
