Property Taxes Due Today, Meetings and More

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on Aug. 1 in Lexington.

1. Tax Bills Due TodayFirst Quarter fiscal 2014 real estate and personal property tax bills are due today, Aug. 1. (Not Aug. 1, 2014, as the mailing stated.) If for some reason you haven not received your tax bill, contact the Collector’s Office at 781-862-0500 ext. 265. Tax bills can be paid online from the town’s website.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Commission on Disability at 5:45 p.m. at the Town Office Building and the Historic Districts Commission at 7 p.m. at the Town Office Building.

5. Another Sunny One: Areas of fog early should lift in time for a mostly sunny day with a high of 81, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts possible showers and thunderstorms overnight with a low of 64.
