Learn more about the Solarize Lexington program.

A group of local organizations, including the Town of Lexington, Sustainable Lexington, the Lexington Global Warming Action Coalition, and the Lexington League of Women Voters collaborated to write a grant proposal called "Solarize Lexington." The groups submitted a grant application to the Solarize Mass program, sponsored by the state funded MA Clean Energy Center, last fall.

According to group member Marcia Gens Lexington and its partner in the endeavor Bedford were selected to receive a grant from Solarize Mass.

Learn more about the program. There will be a public information meeting, Solar101, on Wednesday, Jan. 29, from 7 to 9 p.m. the Cary Memorial Building, Battin Hall.

Solar Energy experts from the Mass Clean Energy Center will present "Solar 101", an educational session providing an overview of how solar electric systems work, an explanation on how Federal and State incentives can save you money, and how you can go solar with the new community based “Solarize Lexington-Bedford Program.”
