Summer Concert Series Continues, Two Lexington Residents Take Top Spots

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Aug. 9 in Lexington.

1. Summer Concert SeriesThe Lexington Chamber of Commerce's Summer Concert Series continues at 6:30 p.m. tonight when Matuto brings its Brazilian world music sounds to the Visitor Center lawn. 

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, there are no public meetings posted for today

3. ICYMI: In case you missed it yesterday, we shared a story about the possibility minimum wage and sick time could make it onto the next ballot. If you haven't yet, definitely check it out

4. Two Lexington Residents Win at 2013 Swim and Paddle for Boston HarborAt last Saturday's Save the Harbor/Save the Bay Swim and Paddle for Boston Harbor, two Lexington residents came out on top of their respective fields. Anna Sheridan of Lexington won the swim for competitors with wetsuits, and Mark Jacobson of Lexington (pictured above) won the Stand Up Paddle Board race. Read more about the event here. 

5. T-Storms, Maybe: Showers and a possible thunderstorm are in the forecast for today, with a high of 78, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more heavy rain overnight and a low of 65.
