Support a Good Cause With a Meal

Five things to know today.

Today is Thursday, September 5. Here are five things to know:

1) Cloudy morning

It may start out gray today but the sun is expected by this afternoon. According to the National Weather Service we can expect a slight chance of showers this morning and mostly cloudy skies. It will gradually become sunny later this afternoon. High near 70 degrees. Mostly clear tonight and cool with a low around 43.

2) Public meetings

The Water & Sewer Abatement Board is meeting at 4:30 p.m. in the S. Hadley Public Services Building. The Historic Districts Commission is meeting at 7 p.m. in the Town Office Building, Selectmen's Meeting Room.

3) Support a cause with a meal

There is a fundraiser today at Margarita's Mexican Restaurant, 438 Bedford Street, in support of the Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA). Tell them you are eating there for the charity and the restaurant will donate 15 percent of your bill to the organization.

4) Recreation Department's Fall/Winter programs
