Emerson Hospital and Westford Health & Police Departments Hold Successful Family Health & Wellness Expo

Hundreds of local families enjoyed the Family Health & Wellness Expo recently hosted by Emerson Hospital in partnership with the Westford Health and Police departments at Emerson Hospital Westford Health Center.

 

The event featured free health screenings, bike and car seat safety tips from the Westford Police Department, safe mercury disposal, flu shots, fitness demonstrations, face and finger painting and more.

“We were very pleased to work alongside the Westford Health and Police departments this year,” said Christine Schuster, president and CEO of Emerson. “Our highest priority is promoting the well-being of local families, and they were the perfect partners to assist in this endeavor.”

“The Family Health & Wellness Expo was a great event,” agreed Sandy Collins, RN, Westford’s health director. “We were pleased to partner with Emerson to provide our residents with valuable health information and preventative programs and services. This aligns with our department goals to promote positive health practices and encourage healthy behaviors. We look forward to continuing our collaboration with Emerson Hospital.”

 

Founded in 1998, the Emerson Hospital Westford Health Center at 133 Littleton Road offers comprehensive medical specialties and subspecialties, with more than 30 physicians in 17 different practices. Services include the laboratory, mammography, bone density testing, MRI, ultrasound, CT, X-ray and the Center for Sports Rehabilitation and Specialty Services.
