Lexington Resident Shaves Her Head for Pediatric Cancer Research

Lexington local, Ajit Gill, has pledged to shave her head this upcoming Sunday, June 8th, at Gillette Stadium. She will join New England Patriots' Gronkowski and over 1,000 other "Buzzees" in shaving their heads as part of One Mission's Kid's Cancer Buzz-Off. One Mission is a local non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing support for children and families touched by pediatric cancer. Ajit is shaving her head in memory of several family members who have passed away due to cancer. To find out more about Ajit's fundraising efforts or to make a donation, please visit:

Ajit, alongside 1,000 other brave participants will be joined by everyone’s favorite New England tight end, Rob Gronkowski, as he returns to Gillette Stadium to buzz his head at One Mission’s fifth annual Kid’s Cancer Buzz-Off on June 8. For the last four years, the local nonprofit organization dedicated to providing support for children and families touched by pediatric cancer has welcomed Gronkowski as the featured celebrity to “buzz” his head alongside more than 1,000 other Buzzees in a show of solidarity and support for those courageously fighting cancer. Gronkowski will also be buzzing several lucky (and brave) Buzzees.

“I’m hyped to buzz my dome for the fourth year in a row with One Mission,” says Buzzee Rob Gronkowski. “The Kid’s Cancer Buzz-Off is an inspiring day where everyone stands together and fights the battle against cancer. Gronk Nation always comes up big for One Mission and I know this year will be no different. Be a hero. Make a difference. Get Involved. The time is now!”
