Lexington Residents Help Raise Funds at ACA New England Camp Champions Celebration

Lexington-based American Camp Association, New England’s 3rd Annual Camp Champions Celebration honoring actress Eliza Dushku took place at Fenway Park on November 22nd. Each year, the celebration is held to raise funds to send underserved youth to summer camp. This year’s celebration honored Boston native and well-known actress, Eliza Dushku, for her extraordinary work developing a program for girls at Camp Hale, a program of the United South End Settlements, in New Hampshire, where girls and young woman can experience first-hand how life-changing camp can be. Eliza attended the event with her long-time boyfriend and former Celtics player, Rick Fox, her entire family including brother, Aaron Dushku, newly elected to the Watertown Town Council, and many Camp Hale colleagues and campers. This year’s fundraising will give a record number of underserved children the opportunity to attend ACA Accredited day and overnight camps in all six New England states through the campership program in the summer of 2014
