5 Things: LYST Presents 'Into the Woods'

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on July 18 in Lexington.

1. LYST Presents 'Into the Woods:' Lexington Youth Summer Theatre will perform "Into the Woods" at 7 p.m. tonight at Grace Chapel. Tickets are $14 in advance (@ Catch a Falling Star, Michelson's Shoes, Levine Orthodontics) or $16 at the door. 

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Community Farming Committee at 8 a.m. at the Town Office Building and the Water Sewer Abatement Board at 4:30 p.m. at the DPW Building. 

3. Craft Time for FamiliesAt 2:30 p.m. today, children and caregivers can get crafty at Cary Memorial Library. Families can make crafts as simple or as complicated as they want, and markers and paper are always available as well.

5. Heat Wave Continues: Looks like another warm one, with a daytime high of 94 and a slight chance of thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts an overnight low of 70.
