Bedford Street Section to Close for Roadwork

Expect three or four days of detours.

The section of Bedford Street between North Hancock Street and Ledgelawn Avenue will be closed to vehicle traffic during ongoing roadwork for three to four days beginning Wednesday, July 31, according to Lexington’s Engineering Division.

During the closure, traffic will be detoured onto North Hancock, Hillside Terrace and Ledgelawn Ave during the daytime, according to the announcement.

The construction prompting the closure is associated with the project to replace unlined water main on Bedford Road, which began earlier this summer.
