Lexington is among many surrounding towns under a flood watch until 8 p.m. on Wednesday evening.
According to a Tweet by @Sheupe, which featured a shot of a flooded Massachusetts Ave. and Woburn Street, some has already occurred. The image was re-tweeted by the Weather Channel and 7 News.
Thunderstorms and showers continue to move north throughout the afternoon, according to the National Weather Service.
