Help Light Up Lexington on Luminary Night

Luminary Night is Dec. 2, and luminary kits are available now. Fifth percent of proceeds from kits support arts and education.

Luminary kits are now on sale in preparation the Fourth Annual Luminary Night celebration. Beginning at 5 p.m., on Sunday, Dec. 2, the warm flickering glow of luminary bags and candles lining our walkways will serve to invite Lexington’s families and friends to unite in celebrating the many things that make our community so extraordinary, including: History, beauty, diversity, arts and education.

The following announcement was provided on behalf of ArtSpan and the Lexington elementary PTA/PTOs.

This year, ArtSpan, a visual arts program for the community at the Munroe Center for the Arts, leads this wonderful event with the full assistance and participation of the elementary school PTA/PTOs in Lexington. This great partnership highlights the importance of the arts, the children in our town, and will raise funds for both. Each participating organization will receive 50 percent of the proceeds of each kit that is sold, after costs.

Kits sold through ArtSpan help support children’s after-school arts programs.  And, although the bright yellow notices with order forms have already been sent home in elementary children backpacks, if you missed yours, or if you would like to order additional kits, contact your school’s PTA or PTO. Remember, every kit sold through an elementary school PTA/PTO representative will benefit that school.
