Learn How to Protect Yourself from Mosquitoes and Ticks
Lexington health officials will present a series of presentations about how to prevent getting vector-borne diseases.

Mosquitoes and ticks can carry diseases such as West Nile Virus and Lyme disease, and Lexington health officials will have tips for protecting yourself from those pests.
The Office of Community Development, Health Division will host several presentations about vector-borne diseases beginning July 18.

Running into mosquitoes and ticks is more likely during the summer because people are out and about, enjoying the outdoors.
Mosquitoes also carry Eastern Equine Encephalitis (EEE), while deer ticks can carry Lyme disease.
