Lexington's Christmas Tree Pickup Plan

Find out when you can put your tree out for curbside pickup.

Looking to reclaim you living room by getting your Christmas tree out the door?

Lexington's Christmas tree recycling collection will run the weeks of December 30 to January 4 and January 6 to January 10. Pickup will be on your regular trash day though the trees are picked up in a separate truck.

In order for trees to be collected, resident must remove all foreign objects (plastic bags, ornaments, tinsel, lights, etc.). Place the tree curbside separate from trash and recyclables.

An alternative is to drop off tree at the Lexington Compost Facility at Hartwell Avenue weekdays only from December 26 through January 31. Again, all foreign objects must be removed from the tree.

Christmas trees are no longer accepted at the Samuel Hadley Public Services Building on 201 Bedford Street.
