Every summer, LexMedia runs a week long class for kids 10-to 13-years old. This year’s series will take place July,18 to 22, from 1 to 4 p.m.
The class series is all about learning how to produce a TV show in a collaborative way. In this class the kids do it all, from coming up with the story ideas to writing scripts, acting and running the studio cameras. It is very much a hands on experience.
In the course of the week, the kids will work as a group and will assist each-other in every aspect of production. Typically, the TV program is made of one large show, like a game show or news show. Around this bigger show are the shorter productions, which can take many forms, from fake commercials to promo's for movies and other TV shows.
What is finally created is dependent on the imagination of the kids, with encouragement and assistance by LexMedia staff.
The cost is $125 per participant. For more information or to sign up please contact Mark McMinn at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 781-862-5388 or stop in the LexMedia studios at the Avalon at Lexington Hills apartment complex.
