Memorial Tribute to Lexington Educator

Help remember educator Dr. Michael Fiveash.

A group of Lexington residents are working to create an evening of memories of a beloved Lexington educator who passed after battling neuroendocrine tumors.

According to an event post on Lexington Patch, planning is underway for a "A Lexington Tribute to Dr. Fiveash - an Evening of Truth and Beauty." The event will take place at Cary Hall in Lexington on January 3.  This will be a memorial celebration of the life of Dr. Michael Fiveash. Reception at 6:30 p.m., with the program to start at 7:30 p.m.

This event will be free and open to the public.  The evening will feature musical performances, recitations and readings that would make Doc laugh and cry, and will include time to socialize as well.  Written messages, tributes, photos, artwork and short videos submitted in advance by individuals who wish to remember and honor him will be assembled for display and viewing at the event.
