The Susan G. Komen Boston 3-Day journeyed through Lexington this weekend, and the center was striped with pink balloons to support the walkers.
A 60-mile walk, the 3-Day is a major fundraiser for Susan G. Komen and typically features enthusiastic, pink-clad participants walking past equally enthusiastic supporters who congregate at cheering sections along the way.
Lexington began the leg of the walk, which wound through Winchester, Arlington and Belmont before heading back to Waltham.
In anticipation of the walk, the Lexington Retailers Association decorated the downtown with pink balloons as a show of support for the 3-Day participants. The photos above are courtesy of Michelson's Shoes Facebook page.
