5 Things: Selectmen to Talk Sidwalk, Special Town Meeting

1. Selectmen to Discuss Sidewalk, Special Town Meeting: The Board of Selectmen will meet at 7 p.m. tonight at the Town Office Building and its agenda includes a public hearing on a Winthrop Street sidewalk and a discussion of a June 17 special Town Meeting. Sandwiched in between those items is an executive session to discuss a potential Tax Increment Financing (TIF) agreement for UniQure.

2. Together Tea: An Evening with Lexington Author Marjan Kamali: At 7 p.m. tonight at the Lexington Depot, Lexington Community Education will present a reading of Kamali's Together Tea, a moving and joyous debut novel about family, love, and finding the place you truly belong.

3. Lexington Author Meikle Paschal Shares His Personal Journey: At 7 p.m. tonight at Cary Memorial Library, Lexington author Meikle Paschal will share his story, as told in his book, The Black Buddhist, of how the teaching of Buddha helped him to overcome the drug abuse and racism of his early years, to get an education, earn a doctorate and become a respected educator.
