Why Go: Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, by Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice, is one of the world’s most successful musicals. Now the original stage version, starring Donny Osmond, comes to the big screen…with on-screen lyrics so everyone can join in. Burst into song and dance in the aisles at the most colourful event in years.

2. Contra and Square Dance with Roaring Jelly
Where/When: First Parish in Lexington Unitarian Universalist, 7 Harrington Rd, Lexington; 7:45 p.m., Friday, Feb. 17
Why Go: It's a community dance of contras & squares with music by Roaring Jelly. No partner's needed, all dances are taught and families are welcome.
Pricing: $7 for adults, $5 for teens and kids dance free

Why Go: The Museum opens school vacation week with a weekend filled with model railroading fun as the Northeast Ntrak Modular Railroad Club will be at the Museum Saturday and Sunday. Ntrak trains are smaller in size than traditional model trains, but are just as much fun. Trains climb mountain passes, shunt freight cars, and use branch lines to pick up and set out cars at the many industries and stations along the way.

4. Original Plays in Staged Readings
Where/When: , 1403 Massachusetts Ave., Lexington
Why Go: Munroe Saturday Nights performance series will feature an evening of original one-act plays by local area playwrights in staged readings: "The Living Proof Project," by Alicia Velez; "Saving Deshawn, or the Carrot Play," by Emily Kay Lazzaro; "Amber Beads" by Melinda Lopez; and "DNA" by June Bowser-Barrett. Following the performance, Lexington playwright Don Cohen will moderate a question and answer period with audience, playwrights, directors and actors.

Why Go: Come relive "The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere" through the creative vision of award-winning illustrator, engraver, and Lexington resident, Christopher Bing. This special afternoon lecture event will include the rare treat of viewing an exhibit of Mr. Bing's original color engravings from this project.
