See the Lexington Schools' Schedule for the First Week of Classes

The first week has an extra holiday, half days and more.

School begins in just a few weeks, and here is the Lexington Public School’s back-to-school schedule.

School opens on Tuesday, Sept. 3 – the day after Labor Day – for elementary school students, with a half day beginning at 8:45 a.m. and ending at 12:15 p.m.

Only students new to the middle and high schools report on Sept. 3.

Freshman report to the high school at 7:45 a.m. and get out at 2:25 p.m. New students in other grades report at 10 a.m. and get out at 11:45 a.m.

At the middle schools, sixth graders report at 8 a.m. on Sept. 3 and get out at 1 p.m.          New students in seventh and eighth grades start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 10 a.m.

All students at all levels report on Wednesday, Sept. 4. The high school begins at 7:45 a.m., middle schools at 8 a.m. and elementary school pupils begin at 8:45 a.m.        

Kindergarters have a half-day, ending at 12:15, on Sept. 3, 4 and 6.

On Thursday, Sept. 5 there is an all-school holiday.

The regular school schedule begins on Monday, Sept. 9.
