Police Search Blossomcrest Area for B-and-E Suspect

Lexington Police searched for a man who allegedly bolted from a Blossomcrest Road residence after he was spotted by a woman.

A Lexington woman had quite a surprise this morning when she looked down the basement stairs and spotted a man who didn't belong there.

The man, described as being a black man wearing a blue shirt and baseball hat, reportedly bolted from the Blossomcrest Road residence. 

The incident, which occurred after 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 2, set off a police search of the area. A K-9 from Belmont was called in to assist with the search, according to the Lexington Police Department

As of a little after noontime Friday, the search was ongoing but had turned up nothing.

The Friday morning  search for an alleged burglar in Lexington comes just a few weeks after a multi-agency search for a man who was spotted by a Westwood Road resident whose home he was allegedly attempting to burgle.
