Photo of the Day: NAMI Thanks Lexington Venue for 'StigMAAA'

The following was provided on behalf of NAMI Central Middlesex and  NAMI Greater North Shore.

We said it before, and we want to say it again: Lexington is so very lucky to have the and so very fortunate that Peter Siy, who bought the theater in 2008, is committed to serving the community.

On Monday evening, June 18, the Central Middlesex and the Greater North Shore affiliates of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) held a benefit one-woman show at the Venue. Nancy Parker, a New York City playwright, and actress, gave a reading of "StigMAAA," a play she has written about a mother and her daughter, who is struggling with serious mental illness. 

The free special performance was made possible by the generous gift of the use of the Venue. More than $600 was collected and will be used to support NAMI Basics, education classes for familiies of children and adolescents with mental illness.
