Artwork by Lexington Resident Barbara Newell Jones Displayed by Emerson Hospital Auxiliary

The Emerson Hospital Auxiliary is displaying the artwork of Barbara Newell Jones of Lexington through December 7 at the main campus of Emerson Hospital.

Newell Jones’s painting typically draws from nature because she enjoys being outside in every season. “I feel that the colors and values of my subjects and the essence of a place can best be captured on location and with direct observation,” she said. “The excitement and immediacy of painting ‘on the spot’ are my inspiration.”
