New Jr. Tennis Director at Thoreau Club

The Thoreau Club is thrilled to announce that Ryan Adamonis is the new Jr. Tennis Director. “Ryan is a dynamic, energetic and enthusiastic coach whose experience adds depth to our junior program,” said Rick Sharton, Director of Tennis.

Ryan was selected as a USTA Zonal Team Coach for New England for the past three years and has coached a National JTT team from New England. Most recently, Ryan was the Director of 10 and Under Tennis at a club in Haverhill, MA. These experiences paired with his coaching of adult programs including the men’s team at the University of Buffalo, NY, USTA and DGH leagues, make him a perfect fit for the robust program at The Thoreau Club.

Junior Tennis Camp at Thoreau offers nine 1 week sessions each summer for kids who are new to tennis, who have been taking lessons for years, high-school, and USTA ranked players. “I’m very excited to lead our three specific camps: beginner, full-day, and tournament training that will provide kids the opportunity to meet new friends, exercise, improve coordination and balance, gain sport-specific skills, and most importantly have fun!” mentions Ryan. Working directly for Rick Sharton, whose family was presented The Edwin Goodman Family of the Year Award by USTA New England earlier this year, Ryan will grow each junior player and continue to introduce the game of tennis to kids, teens and adults year round.
