SUGARMAN Principal and Lexington Resident W. Thomas Smith Receives MA Chapter of American Board of Trial Advocates' Highest Honor

BOSTON, MA...Sugarman and Sugarman P.C. today announced that principal W. Thomas Smith has received the American Board of Trial Advocates’ highest honor:  The James Esdaile, Jr. Award for Civility and Professionalism.

The award, established by the Massachusetts Chapter of The American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA) in 2011 after Esdaile’s death, is awarded to a trial lawyer who must demonstrate an exceptional level of competence and integrity.

According to firm principal and co-founder Paul Sugarman who presented the award to Smith, “Very few trial lawyers meet those standards to the level achieved by Tom.  He has set the bar high enough so that it should be the goal of every trial lawyer. It is no secret that his success reflects the hallmarks of skill, integrity and judgment.  These attributes represent the true definition of a Professional.”
