5 Things: 'Presidents and Foreign Policy,' and a Program on New England

1. Presidents and Foreign Policy: An Evening with Joseph S. Nye: At 7 p.m. tonight at Lexington Depot, Lexington Community Education will present "Presidents and Foreign Policy," an evening with Joseph S. Nye, Jr., dean Emeritus of the Kennedy School and Harvard University Distinguished Service Professor. Costs $10, and pre-registration strongly recommended, using a VISA or MasterCard, by calling Lexington Community Education at 781-862-8043.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Policy Manual Committee at 9 a.m. at the Town Office Building, the Lexington 300th Anniversary Celebraiton Committee at 12 p.m. at Cary Hall, the Energy Conservation Committee at 6 p.m. at the DPW Building, the Town Celebraiton Committee at 7 p.m. at the DPW Building, the Board of Health at 7 p.m. at the Town Office Building, the Planning Board at 7:30 p.m. at the Town Office Building, the Design Advisory Committee at 7:30 p.m. at Cary Hall and the Appropriation Committee at 7:30 p.m. at Cary Hall.

3. : At 7 p.m. tonight, Cary Memorial Library will welcome Ted Reinstein, author of New England Notebook: One Reporter, Six States, Uncommon Stories. Just in time for your summer vacation plans, this program will feature Reinstein discussing fascinating destinations he's visited across New England.
