A Fashion Show, Music and More

Six events for kids and families in and around Lexington.

We're glad you clicked on the Grab & Go Planner. There is so much going on in and around Lexington this week we just couldn't limit out choices to five. This week there are six exciting and fun things to bring your attention to.

Select any, some or all of the family-fun musical performances, celebrate pink at The Elephant's Trunk or schedule a special mother/daughter day at the Lexington Depot.

1. 
Where/When: , 251 Waltham St, Wednesday, March 9, 7:30 p.m.
Why go: All four of Lexington High School's choral groups will perform a repertoire spanning 10 centuries of music. With that kind of range, there should be music that will appeal to everyone in the family.

2. 
Where/Where: , 63 Acton St., Arlington, Thursday and Friday, March 10 and 11, 7:30 p.m.
Why go: After a short ride over the Lexington border into Arlington, the kids can enjoy a musical performance that will have them resinging the songs the whole way home.

3. 
Where/When: , 1764 Massachusetts Ave, Lexington, Saturday, March 12, 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
Why go: Bring the little ones to The Elephant's Trunk on Saturday and enjoy a special storytime and craft. Remember, it's Pinkalicious Day... in honor of the character in the book, Pinkalicious, join the fun and wear pink.

4. 
Where/When: , 7 Medford St., Arlington, Saturday, March 12, 10:30 a.m.
Why to: Take the entire family and to hear upbeat acoustic music, from country to bluegrass, rock and New Orleans. Bring comfortable shoes, the tunes will likely have the audience singing and dancing.
Pricing: $10 for adults, $8 for kids/seniors, Regent members save $2.

5. 
Where/When: , 17 Stedman Road, Saturday, March 12, 3 p.m.
Why go: This free hour of musical adventure will provide fun entertainment for the entire family. Refreshments swill be served after the program.
Pricing: Free

6. 
Where/When: , Sunday, March 13, 3-5 p.m.
Why go: Spend some bonding time with your daughter or daughters at this Lexington Historical Society event for those age 6 and up. Enjoy a fashion show and tea, lemonade and finger foods.
Pricing: Members: $30  for adults, $20 for children ( age 6-18); nonmembers: $35/$25.
