Additional Drop-Off Hours at Hartwell Ave Composting Facility After Sandy

The following announcement was provided by the Town of Lexington.

The Lexington Compost Facility on Hartwell Avenue will be open for extended hours on weekdays starting Thursday, November 1 through Friday, November 16, from 7:30 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. to accept brush, tree limbs and storm debris resulting from tropical storm Sandy.

The Compost Facility on Hartwell Avenue will also be open Saturdays and Sundays from 8 a.m. to 4: p.m. every weekend until Dec. 2. Residents should inform their landscaping company that the town will be accepting storm debris at no charge until Nov. 16 from Lexington addresses only.

Please note that landscapers with debris from non-Lexington addresses will pay the usual fee ($85 for 10 cubic yards paid by using a brush punch card, which can be purchased Monday – Friday 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. at 201 Bedford St.).
