Five Things: Free Coffee, Figure Drawing and More

A look at five things you need to know today in Lexington.

1. Free Coffee: McDonald’s is celebrating National Coffee Day by providing free coffee for all guests from Sept. 23 to Sept. 29 -- and that includes today, Sept. 26, -- at participating restaurants across New England.

2. Wednesday Night Figure Drawing: The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society and its Painters Guild are hosting Wednesday night figure drawing sessions from now through Oct. 31. The eight-session program runs from 7 to 10 p.m. at the LACS on Waltham Street, and costs $100 for LACS members and $140 for non-members. The drop-in rate is $20 per session for membes and $25 for nonmembers. 

3. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, there are no public meetings posted for today.

5. Showers Likely: Should be mostly cloudy today, with a high of 77, a chance of showers and possible wind gusts of up to 32 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more showers and a possible thunderstorm overnight as lows get down to 56.
