Five Things: Free Coffee, Figure Drawing and More

A look at five things you need to know today in Lexington.

1. Free Coffee: McDonald’s is celebrating National Coffee Day by providing free coffee for all guests from Sept. 23 to Sept. 29 -- and that includes today, Sept. 26, -- at participating restaurants across New England.

2. Wednesday Night Figure Drawing: The Lexington Arts and Crafts Society and its Painters Guild are hosting Wednesday night figure drawing sessions from now through Oct. 31. The eight-session program runs from 7 to 10 p.m. at the LACS on Waltham Street, and costs $100 for LACS members and $140 for non-members. The drop-in rate is $20 per session for membes and $25 for nonmembers.

3. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, there are no public meetings posted for today.

4. Like Us on Facebook: For even more information and engagement, like Lexington Patch on Facebook. Over there, we'll be asking questions, looking for feedback and continuing the conversation with the Lexington community. See you soon!

5. Showers Likely: Should be mostly cloudy today, with a high of 77, a chance of showers and possible wind gusts of up to 32 miles per hour, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more showers and a possible thunderstorm overnight as lows get down to 56.
