Five Things: LACS Student Exhibition, Meet a Selectmen Candidate

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on Jan. 22 in Lexington.

1. Meet Joe Pato, Candidate for Selectman: The Board of Selectmen candidate is hosting a meet-and-greet at 9 a.m. this morning at Peet's Coffee and Tea in Lexington Center.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Capital Expenditures Committee at 8 a.m. at the Town Office Building and the Tourism Committee at 11:30 a.m., also at the Town Office Building.

3. Lexington Arts and Crafts Society Student Show: For just a few more days, LACS will host a special exhibition of original work by adults and teens, beginners to advanced, of students enrolled in its education program of classes and workshops. Check it out from 12 to 4 p.m. today.

5. Could Snow, and Then Get Real Cold: Snow's in the forecast, especially before 11 a.m., as highs could get up into the lower mid-20s, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a bitter cold and windy with lows in the single digits and gusts of up to 29 miles per hour.
