Five Things: Photo Contest Winnters, Fuel Assistance, Meetings and More

A quick look at what you need to see, do and know on Feb. 11 in Lexington.

1. Lexington Residents Win Prize in “Your Inspired Moments” Photo Contest: In case you missed it last week, check out in the Cambridge Savings Bank "Your Inspired Moments" contest.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, pubic meetings posted for today include the Capital Expenditures Committee at 8 a.m. at the Town Office Building, the 300th Anniversary Celebraiton Committee at 12:30 p.m. at Cary Hall, the Historical Commission at 7 p.m. at the Town Office Building, the Board of Selectmen at 7 p.m. at the Town Office Building and the Lexington High School Council at 7 p.m. at LHS. 

3. Fuel Assistance for Eligible Lexington Residents: The Fuel Assistance Program, a program that helps with the cost of heating your home, accepts new applications through April 30, 2013. Call the town of Lexington Senior Center/Human Services Department at 781-861-0194 to schedule an appointment and/or to inquire about the program.

5. Rain, Snow and Sleet: Could see rain, snow and sleet in the morning, before mostly rain throughout the day with a high near 45, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts rain mixing with snow overnight at lows drop down to 34.
