Five Things You Need to Know Today: July 6

A couple of meetings, concerts coming up and so is the temperature today in Lexington.

1. Lexington's Council on Aging meets at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon at the Senior Center and its agenda includes a draft report on the presentation on “Muzzey Senior Center Accessibility and Life Safety Issues."

2. If you just can't wait until Lexington's second Concert in the Park tomorrow, July 7, then head over to Concord at 7:30 p.m. tonight for their library's first of the season, featuring PanNeubean Steel.

3. The Board of Assessors meets at 4:30 p.m. this afternoon at the and its agenda includes an executive session to discuss pending litigaiton with the Appellate Tax Board.

4. Your local editor's tied up with trainings all morning, but , our summer intern, will be hanging around town in my absence. Drop him in email if you hear of anything that needs checking out.

5. Should be mostly sunny, with highs reaching 91, according to the National Weather Service, which says the night will hold a slight chance of thunderstorms, mainly between 7 p.m. and midnight.
