1. Wake up with the Board of Selectmen. The regular Monday night crowd is meeting at 9 a.m. at the on Bedford Street to talk about the Lexington Center streetscape project.

2. Futuristic first thing. In the morning, that is. The 2020 Vision Committee is meeting from 7:45 to 9 a.m. in the and will discuss revalidating goals, a town survey and suggesting to the BOS any key areas of concern.

3. Let entertain you. A kicks off at 7 p.m. tonight at the Hancock Street school. The Diamond Ensemble will present one-act play "This is a Test;" the Improv Troupe will perform several comedic improv games, and the Jazz Ensemble will play some cool jazz tunes. Costs $5.

4. It's Friday the 13th. So watch out for this guy. Widely considered the unluckiest day of the year, Friday the 13th happens only once in 2011. To read up on the origins of the superstition, click here or here.

5. And, last but not least... I'm out of town today to attend a sibling's graduation in Western Massachusetts. I'm leaving the site in the capable hands of Liz Taurasi, our regional editor. If there's breaking news, email her at lizt@patch.com.
