Five Things You Need to Know Today: Sept. 25

A program on safe driving for seniors, public meetings, the Republican Town Committee and more today in Lexington.

1. Shifting Gears - Safe Driving for Seniors presented by the Registry of Motor Vehicles: At 6 p.m. this evening at Youville Place, Michele Ellicks, community outreach coordinator from the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles, will present an informative program at Youville on issues facing elder drivers, their families and caregivers, and strategies for supporting successful outcomes.

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Harrington Elementary School Site Council at 7:30 a.m. at the school and the Ad Hoc Townwide Facilities Master Planning Committee at 8:30 p.m. at the DPW Building.

3. Monthly Meeting of the Lexington Republican Town Committee: It's at 7:30 p.m. tonight at Cary Memorial Library.

4. Lexington Lions Club Meeting: Is at 6:30 p.m. this evening at the Knights of Columbus on Bedford Street.
