Lexington Resident and Bank of America Exec Killed in Skiing Accident

James L. Wong, a husband, father, coach and banking exec, died Saturday after crashing into a tree while skiing at Sugarbush.

A Lexington resident and vice president for in Boston died Saturday, Feb. 4 following a skiing accident at Sugarbush Resort in Vermont. 

James L. Wong, 41, reportedly died in the emergency room from “blunt impacts of torso and left arm” suffered after he lost control on the slopes and crashed into a tree, the Burlington Free Press reported last night.

Wong, who was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was at the resort with this wife and two children, according to WCBV Boston

A New Jersey native and Lafayette graduate, Wong was a vice president for Bank of America’s Boston operations.

In an obituary on the Douglass Funeral Home’s website, Wong is described as a long-time Lexington resident and coach, a “devoted family man,” and “a star in the face of the sky.”

A memorial service will be held at Hancock Church this Saturday at 11 a.m. Visiting hours will be at Douglass Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10.
