Mayday! Mayday! May Day Celebration Postponed to Tomorrow

Due to cold and wet conditions, this afternoon's May Day Celebration at the Lexington Depot has been postponed to Wednesday, May 2. Same time, same location.

 

This just in from the Revolutionary Revelry Organizing Committee: Today's May Day Celebration, scheduled for  4 to 7 p.m. at Emery Park outside , has been postponed until tomrrow, May 2, and will precede the already scheduled for Wednesday evening.

"Due to the wet and cold conditions of Depot Square, the May Day Celebration scheduled today has been postponed until tomorrow, Wednesday, May 2," the committee said in an email. "Plan to dance around the Maypole, plant your May Day baskets, make paper flowers, and more from 4 - 7 pm. Grab a bite to eat downtown and stay for the Colonial Community Sing from 7:30 - 8:30."

The May Day postponment does not, however, mean the opening day of is a total washout.

Revolutionary Revelers are encouraged to attend the 7th biennial Massachusetts Juried Show "State of Clay" from 12 to 4 p.m. today at the .
