Share your opinion in the comments.

Minute Man National Historical Park announced yesterday that portions of the Battle Road Trail will be closing temporarily, to allow for repairs to the 12-year-old trail.

According to a press release, the first phase of trail work will focus on the area from the Meriam's Corner parking area on Lexington Road in Concord to the boardwalk crossing the Elm Brook wetlands in Lincoln. Work will then shift to the area east of the Elm Brook boardwalk and to the area east of historic Hartwell Tavern.

The first phase will wrap up in mid-July, but the exact dates for this second phase of work have not yet been determined, the press release said.
