SWIMMERS WITH BIG HEARTS NEEDED
Help fight cancer by joining this Sunday's Youth Against Cancer's 4th annual "SWIM4LIFE" here in Lexington at the Minuteman High School indoor pool from 2PM to 4:45 PM. Swim a lap up to a mile, and swim in honor of someone you love who has beaten cancer, is fighting it right now, or was lost to it.

Lily Hochman & Lauren Jackson founded Youth Against Cancer when they were juniors at LHS in 2010. This year our swim-a-thon is coming right up.  One can swim a lap or up to a mile We encourage each swimmer to raise $100 but any amount helps. We can provide a sample email to send to possible supports of the swimmer. This year the event is co-chaired by LHS junior, Carter Hochman, and LHS Honor Society Member and senior, Justinne Renee Guarin.

We need swimmers, and if you could join us join us we would be grateful. Each swimmer gets a white swim cap that they can decorate with the name of who they are swimming in honor of. Tricia Bradley, the grown-up behind Youth Against Cancer is swimming in honor of her mom who died too young of colon cancer, and is missed everyday, and Lexintonian  Johnny Z. who is fighting cancer, and many others.

This year is our 4th year, and this year we will push the collective donations to over 50K to Dana Farber for cancer research. It would be great if we can push the number even higher.

If you or anyone you know wants to join the swim, swimmers can register at www.lexyac.org

YAC also runs a silent auction that has some great items if you like to eat here in town, or ski at Wachusett, or make necklaces,  go to the movies, prepare for the ACTs or SATs with Chyten Educational Testing, or have a private Cross Fit Trainer for 6 sessions, come to the silent auction! There's something here for you.
