An Evening of Synchronized Skating at Hayden

Hayden Synchronized Skating’s Season Kick-Off

Exhibition and Fundraiser!

Hayden Synchronized Skating is very excited to announce our Season Kick-Off Exhibition, “An Evening Of Synchronized Skating.”  The event will take place on Sunday October 20th, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the Hayden Recreation Centre in Lexington Massachusetts. The exhibition is free to the public and will feature performances by all the club’s teams. Come join us and support your local athletes.

The show will consist of performances by all Hayden teams:
2013 National Champions and World Bronze Medalists, the Haydenettes;
2013 U.S. National Bronze Medalists, the Lexettes;
2012 U.S. National Champions, the Ice Mates and Star Mates;
and the 2013 National Bronze Medalists, the Mini Mates.
The show will also feature performances by the organization’s Shooting Stars Pre-Juvenile, Preliminary, and Pre-Preliminary teams.  Also, Esprit de Corps Adult will exhibit their program.

Synchronized skating is a team sport in which 8-20 skaters perform a program together. It uses the same judging system as Olympic singles, pairs and ice dance and is characterized by teamwork, unison, intricate formations and challenging footwork. The sport is sponsored by United States Figure Skating and there are approximately 525 synchronized teams registered with U.S. Figure Skating, and nearly 5,000 athletes participate annually in the synchronized skating sectional championships.

Hayden Synchronized Skating is dedicated to helping young women and men develop personal discipline and self confidence, combined with a selfless focus on teamwork. The skills each skater learns help prepare them to succeed both on and off the ice for their entire lives. Our motto: “Perform beautifully in life!”

On October 8th, Hayden Synchronized Skating will be hosting a fundraising event at Flatbread Pizza in Bedford, MA. The organization will receive a portion of the sales for each Pizza sold that night, take-out or eat-in. There will also be a raffle! "Summer Boot Camp" host Waterville Valley, NH has donated two lift tickets for their Ski Resort for the raffle!  Flatbread Pizza is located at 213 Burlington Road in Bedford.  The event will take place from 5:30 - 9:30pm.
