An Introduction to Mystery and Suspense Writing offered by Lexington Community Education

Join local author, Andrew McAleer, for this six evening class meeting from 7-8:30pm on January 22 and 29, February 5, 12, 26 and March 5,  at Lexington High School.

Master detectives like Sherlock Holmes, Miss Marple, Faith Fairchild, and their illustrious colleagues, Poirot, Spenser, and Brady Coyne, elevate crime literature to a true art form and ignite our sense of intrigue and imagination. Students will become familiar with most forms of detective fiction and will learn how to write and construct the mystery-suspense story. Materials fee of $10 per person payable to instructor at first class.

Mr. McAleer is the author of of numerous books including the 101 Habits of Highly Successful Novelists, Mystery Writing in a Nutshell and Fatal Deeds.  He teaches crime fiction at Boston College and works as a prosecutor.
