Annual Artrageous Gala

The Umbrella Community Arts Center will host Artrageous, its largest annual fundraising event, on Saturday, May 10, 2014. The event will take place at The Umbrella and will be hosted by WBZ’s David “Robi” Robichaud. The evening will bring together long-time and new arts supporters and will feature delicious food, drink, and entertainment including a street dance group; an a cappella group, The Works, based in MetroWest; and extremely popular dance and movement instructor, Fadayz, as the DJ. It will be an evening to celebrate the inspiration and impact of The Umbrella’s Performing Arts program, Youth and Adult Arts Education program, Musketaquid Arts and Environment program, and Resident Artists past and present. The evening will also feature the presentation of this year’s Stewardship of the Arts Award to American Novelist, Alice Hoffman.

There will be a silent art auction with more than 35 items, including original works of art by Umbrella and area artists, and cultural, arts, and sports events such as Boston Symphony Orchestra tickets and Boston Bruins tickets with a ride on the Zamboni.

All funds raised will directly support The Umbrella’s mission and allow its programs to remain affordable and accessible for all.
