Children's Concert, "Peter and the Wolf"

Methuen Memorial Music Hall to hold

Children’s concert



METHUEN — The Methuen Memorial Music Hall
will present “Peter and the Wolf” in a free concert and bilingual English and
Spanish event for children. The concert will be on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 10
a.m. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.


Organist Joyce Painter Rice will play the
music for “Peter and the Wolf”, composed as an orchestral score by Sergei
Prokofiev.  Kathy Moran-Wallace and Gladys Linares Medina, staff members
at Nevins Memorial Library in Methuen, will read the accompanying story in both
English and Spanish respectively. Ms. Moran-Wallace is head of Children’s
Services at the library.



Children of all ages are invited to attend.
The many colorful sounds on the Music Hall's Great Organ are ideal for
imitating the characters and instruments in this famous musical story.




The Methuen Memorial Music Hall is handicap accessible, but please use the rear entrance. Free off-street parking is available. For more information, visit mmmh.org.
