Three
Masterpieces by Three Masters

The
program begins with Bach’s Brandenburg
Concerto #5, featuring virtuoso harpsichordist Yoko
Hagino, with First Parish Music Director Bradford Conner conducting a string
ensemble. Soprano Epp Sonin follows, singing Mozart’s “Exsultate Jubilate,” with Carol
Epple, flute, and Elizabeth Connors, clarinet.  Finally, the program
presents a semi-staged version of Purcell’s brief opera, Dido and Aeneas, a classic story
of love and abandonment.  Mezzo- soprano Cynthia Mork will sing the role
of Dido, with Soprano Carol Krusemark as Belinda and Benjamin Sears as Aeneas.
Singers from Bedford and Lexington fill out the cast and chorus.  The
production features dances by CreationDance, directed by Helena
Froehlich.  Suggested donation at the door: $20 adults, $15 seniors and
students.
