Digital Photography at Minuteman

Join Minuteman Community Education for Digital Photography for students entering grades 7 - 12!

Do you love taking photos? Want to learn how to capture GREAT images? Did you know photography is both art and science? As an art, photography is a marvelous tool of creative, self-expression. As a science it is a wonderful technical tool, teaching lessons in, light, math, and computer skills. It encourages closer looks and whole new ways of looking at things.During this photography class you will be learning how to use or better use your digital camera and experiment using a digital SLR camera, different shooting techniques and create a portfolio of images.

You will be learning to creatively control manual settings such as white balance, aperture, shutter, ISO, among others settings, camera angle, and other compositional aspects of photography will be key aspects of this class. Learn to use Adobe Photoshop to enhance photos before printing. 
Students will produce and present work that will be discussed and they will have the opportunity to discuss the artistic and creative choices that drive their work. This class will include portrait, documentary, architectural and action styles of photography. Bring your camera and download cord.
