Cary Lecture Series Presents: Dear Brother: The Life and Letters of Benjamin Franklin's Sister

In honor of Lexington’s 300th anniversary, Jill Lepore will speak on Benjamin Franklin’s sister, who shares a birth year with our town and was a lively correspondent during the Revolution. Jill Lepore is a professor of American History at Harvard University and a staff writer at the New Yorker. She is the prize-winning author of many enthralling books on American history from colonial times to the present, including The Mansion of Happiness (2012).

This is the final installment of the 2012-13 Cary Lecture Series. Free tickets have been mailed to all Lexington households. Additional tickets, if needed, are available at Cary Memorial Library and the Town Office Building.

Professor Lepore’s most recent book, The Story of America: Essays on Origins, is this year’s Lexington Reads Community Book. Copies of The Story of America will be available for sale and signing at the Cary Lecture.
