Cary Memorial Library Launches Science Cafe Series

Science Café events bring local scientists face-to-face with the general public, for a lively and interactive scientific discussion, in a casual setting. All Science Café events are free, and are open to all ages--- from teenagers to retirees.  No science background is required.  All you need is an interest in science and a willingness to join in the conversation.

Cary Library is very excited to have Dr. Angela Belcher as the special guest scientist for the 'kickoff' of the Science Cafe series. Dr. Belcher is currently W.M. Keck Professor of Energy in Materials Science and Engineering and Biological Engineering at MIT.  Her primary research focus is evolving new materials for energy, electronics and the environment.

Cary Library wishes to thank Dr. Jagesh Shah, Associate Professor of Systems Biology at Harvard University, for agreeing to serve as moderator for the Science Cafe. The Science Cafe @ Cary Library is generously underwritten by the Cary Memorial Library Foundation.

Space is limited. Seating will be on a first come, first serve basis. For more information, go to www.carylibrary.org.
