Free Holiday Handbell Concert

On Sunday, December 16th at 2:00 PM, four handbell choirs will perform a free concert at Hancock United Church of Christ in Lexington, entitled “Holiday Favorites from the Old Country—Music of Central and Eastern Europe.”  Listeners will be surprised at how many favorite songs and carols are of German, Bohemian, Polish, Russian, Ukranian origin.  Playing a mix of modern and classical, secular and sacred music, ringers aged 8 and up will demonstrate different styles and types of handbell and chime ringing.  Concertgoers often say that the sound of bells really sets the tone for a joyous holiday.
